Carna Labuschagne obtained her LLB at the University of Pretoria in 2016. In the past few years she gained vast experience in Commercial Law, Divorce Law and general litigation. A proactive mindset has allowed her to see commercial pitfalls before they occur and by using different legal avenues, such pitfalls can be avoided without reverting to a court room. Her passion for Divorce Law was ignited by experiencing how these families are rebuilt after the traumatising event of a divorce. She realised that she can help rebuild these families by fostering open communication between ex-spouses and restoring economical growth of each individual. In order to restore economical growth, the client’s estate must be evaluated and restructured to ensure that the client may have a comfortable retirement and to be able to cover all the children’s expenses without turning to Maintenance Courts.
Carna received certificates of excellence at Legal Education and Development in High Court Practice as well as in Criminal Court Practice during 2017. It is therefore natural that she is passionate about criminal law and therefore she assists the general public in bail applications and further criminal hearings.
Carna attended further training at Bizfacility Training in CIPC Procedure and VAT Registrations. These courses enabled her to deliver a value added service to clients by ensuring that a client’s entity is compliant with the Companies Act, 71 of 2008.
